As part of CapGrow’s 20th Anniversary Celebration, we’re highlighting our Team with Tenure. It is with pride we feature Lexi, who has been with CapGrow for 12 years.
Can you describe your journey with CapGrow Partners?
I joined the CapGrow team in 2013 as a part-time Client Services Coordinator. Soonafter, I moved to a full-time role within the Operations department. Later, I progressed from an Operations Coordinator to a Senior Operations and Real Estate Manager. Recently, I transitioned to my role as the Director of Business Development on the Business Development (BD) team. Today, I get to have a more direct relationship with our clients and collaborate as part of our BD team on CapGrow’s strategic growth plan.
How does your in-house Operations experience inform your tactics in Business Development?
My in-house capital operations experience helped me get a better understanding of the various real estate needs our partners may have and how our team can develop creative solutions to serve their long term goals. I know lease terms, real estate types, and/or closing structures that work for one partner do not work for all partners. My team and I are particularly cognizant of the nuances of different real estate markets as a result.
As I have been exposed to many of the same agents and closing companies over the years, I am fortunate to be able to rely on my industry contacts to help support our partners from the start of a transaction, to close, and beyond. I can confidently say the value of our real estate resources and tenure are especially beneficial to our newest partners.
What most excites you in the years ahead professionally? What comes next?
Looking ahead, I see myself playing a key role in expanding our provider network while continuing to cultivate our long term partnerships. Being with CGP for the past 12+ years has been extremely rewarding, and I continue to be excited about our mission to provide safe and appropriate housing across the country.
What do you wish more providers knew about CapGrow?
We are a tight-knit team, many of whom who have been with the company for over 10 years. Our leadership has decades of experience with our organization and, given that experience, we’re known to be resourceful, extremely well-versed in our field, and a true partner to our clients.
