Preferred Vendor: APi National Service Group
We’ve partnered with national groups to offer exclusive discounts and services to become your FIRST EVER one-stop-shop in community based housing. Our Preferred Vendor Program is the only program in the HCBS service space designed to remove stress from providers and increase the ease of setting up new or existing community-based housing. We don’t just partner with anyone, we thoroughly vet and make sure they believe in the mission and communities they serve. Keep an eye on our blog for a brief look at who our preferred vendors are and what makes them a great option for any provider organization:
Across the country, states have adopted stricter building and fire codes that are applicable to any structure zoned residential. In New York nearly all group homes are zoned one or two family homes and most of these structures are required to have a fire suppression system. In Illinois, group homes used for Community Integrated Living Arrangements (CILA) and Intermediate Care Facilities (ICF) share requirements such as a manual fire alarm system, and an approved automatic sprinkler system. In Alabama, they have adopted the 2009 International Building Code (IBC) and International Fire Code (IFC) and are considering using the 2015 IBC and IFC. With all these policies in place and a high likelihood that they will continue into the future, providers should consider developing a relationship with a company that knows the fire and building codes locally in each state and can offer a fire suppression system that meets those requirements. This is why we partnered up with APi National Service Group.
APi National Service Group provides fire and life safety system design/ engineering, installation and retrofit for community-based housing. They have over 125 branch offices that span across the United States; so whether you’re a small provider in Colorado or a national provider with homes in California and Minnesota, you will be able to rely on their national coverage and compliance expertise in every area of the country. APi’s local branches -Viking Automatic Sprinkler Co. for example - take their time to work with providers in order to understand the scope of the services, get work done smoothly and meet scheduled deadlines. Below is just one review from a repeat customer of Viking’s.
“Viking was really easy to work with. Our company operates a bunch of group homes and there are 4 full-time residents in each home. We have done around 8-9 retrofit projects with Viking now. Ever since day one they have been a great partner. If we ever have any issues they are right there ready to help us. I have no problem giving their team a gold star.”
